Throw back Thursday

Good morning, I feel like a throw back Thursday session today and here are a few of my older projects and cards I have made.

Here we have a gift set that I made for a new born baby back in 2014
Paper roses used to create a pram. The card is made using a Lili of the Valley rubber stamp and coloured with promarkers.

Next we have a cute porcelain watering can that I paper pieced to make it look more ornamental.

And finally some new home cards which I sell on my Etsy shop made using a Woodware Crafts Stamp and coloured using Promarkers.

I am off to work on some Kanban Design Team work now before I am back at the Hobbycraft Store in Coventry tomorrow.

Happy Voting day

Glitter n Sparkle Challenge Blog week of Anything Goes

Good morning. It's been a funny few weeks with no Glitter n Sparkle images to use and starting my new job.

Well I'm back this week with a gorgeous image by Aurora wings called Diamond and here is my finished card. I decided to keep this on very simple as the image it's self is so lovely.

I have used promarkers to colour this image and used a blender pen to take colour out and create shadow effects.

I do hope you can join us over at the Glitter n Sparkle Challenge Blog and join the theme and be in with a chance to win some amazing crafty goodies.

Ikes Art Sponsor over at Glitter N Sparkle's Week 190 Flower Power Theme

Good Morning and welcome to Week 190 over at the Glitter N Sparkle Challenge Blog

This weeks challenge is all about
Flower Power

and my Sponsor for the week is Ikes Art

here is the card that I have created

I went for a slightly different card blank style this time and it's a dl shape that opens on the short side
I have used off cuts for this card which is a great way to be thrifty when crafting.

I stretched the floral digital image to give a longer look to the flowers.
I coloured them using Promarkers
Marsh Green - Buds
Cocoa - Branches
Pale pink & Aniseed for the petals

I wanted to keep it simple and added a floral ribbon from Meiflower Crafts and then stamped flowers down the right hand side.

If you would like to join in the fun then pop over to the Glitter N Sparkle Challenge Blog and have a go and maybe you will be lucky and get some great new digital images from our sponsors.

Glitter N Sparkle - Week 189 - Anything Goes week - The Stamping Boutique Sponsor

Wow, another week  is almost over and this weeks Glitter N Sparkle Challenge is one of our most popular themes and is
Anything Goes week

One of this weeks sponsors is the fabulous The Stamping Boutique and I was very lucky to get to choose from their amazing selection of digi's
I chose:

I thought it was such a  fun image to work with and would work really well on a larger card size.
Here is what I came up with

I have coloured this image in using Promarkers:
Horse: Cinnamon & Burnt Sienna
Tail & Mane: Sandstone & Praline
Saddle & Bridal : Henna
Blanket: Grey Green
Skin : Blush, Saffron & Pastel Pink
Hair: Burnt Sienna
Jumps: Lipstick Red
Rider's t-shirt : Cardinal Red
Grass: Pear Green & Marsh Green

I made a large 8" x 8" card blank from a sheet of A3 card stock, next I used a Stampin Up Stamp set which included the apple and used memento ink to stamp the apple border on the card blank. I also stamped and extra 2 on a scrap piece of card to use as embellishments.
I have matted and layered the image with coordinating papers and card stock colours.
The final pieces were to add the apples and then the sentiment which is a Woodware Crafts Stamp set called Make a Wish.

I love these fun cartoon like digital images, if you would like to win some of these great images or soem from our other sponsors then pop over to Glitter N Sparkle Challenge Blog and add your entry using the linky.

Have a great Sunday

Week 188 - Glitter N Sparkle DT sample - Theme Ribbon or Lace - Cute as a Button Sponsor

Good Morning and it's another fun challenge this week over at the Glitter N Sparkle Challenge Blog
This weeks sponsors are brilliant and Myself and Samantha got this gorgeous Cute as a Button Digital Images - The image could be coloured in lots of different techniques and colour combinations but I went for a Orange & Purple colour scheme for mine.
Colours used are:
Skin: Blush, Saffron & Pastel Pink
Hair: Sandstone, Cinnamon, Burnt Sienna
Neck piece: Orange & blender pen
Hat : Violet, Purple, Spring Lilac & Amethyst
Sunflower - Bells

I have used the Promarker blender a lot on this image to create shading and look of movement.
I layered the card using the Venetian Paper Stack from an old retired Stampin up collection which I though worked well.
The element of ribbon or lace was easy as I knew I had some lovely satin ribbon from Meiflower Crafts which matched perfectly with the colours I have used on the image.

If you would like to join in the fun over at Glitter N Sparkle Challenge Blog and to be in with a chance of winning some amazing prizes, simply make a card using the brief and add your link to the post.

I arranged them on the computer with the intention of doing a scene, which worked really well when I printed in and made started using the inks and dry baby wipes to create a seaside scene.

Glitter N Sparkle Challenge Week: 183 Sun, moon or Stars

Good morning, and welcome to this week's Glitter N Sparkle Challenge which this week the theme is all about:
Moon, Stars or Sun

What a great theme and I have to say I instantly had an idea for this theme and was lucky enough to be given Beccy's Place Digital Images to choose images from.

I fell in love with the Cattitude images and I got this very cute cat image to use on this card
Here is what I have made:

'Cats on Wall under the stars'

I printed 3 different sized cats and then coloured them with promarkers:
Simply used - Raw sienna, Cinnamon, Burnt Sienna and Cool Grey 5

The backing is simply made with silver stamped stars, hand drawn moon and then I added some black star paper clips which are from IKEA. The wall panel is a backing sheet by Kanban Crafts, which I have stamped the 'Moon' sentiment by Docrafts.

It's been a very fun theme and I can imagine we are going to have some fantastic entries over at Glitter N Sparkle
I look forward to seeing all your entries.

Couple in love - Anniversary card ideas

I am trying to make a big push with blogging and entering some challenges and I have to say I love Sami Stamps so when I saw that they were hosting a fabulous challenge with a theme of 'Add pearls or Beads' I thought ooh why not have a go and submit an entry, so here it is:

I coloured the image using Letraset promarkers and went with an older couple
I coloured their hair in shades of cool greys and warm grey's
Skin is Blush, Saffron and Pastel Pink
The lady's dress is done with Marsh Green & Olive Green
The gentleman's attire is Grey green for the jumper and then beige on the trousers.

The backings are from my off cuts box and I have cut the pennant shapes out for added detail on the cards. The sentiment is a Woodware stamp set from Truly Inspired Crafts called Jane's Script.
I have added some pearls to finish the card.

Love the digital images by Sami Stamps and I would love to win some new images, so I've got my fingers crossed :)

Right now today it's a challenge theme of
Use a Die or Punch

This Weeks sponsors are:

I was given the task of creating something with the gorgeous Morgan's Artworld Images

The image has a tattoo that runs across her body which I coloured with Lilacs and soft greens from the Promarker range of colours, which I also incorporated into the rest of the image and on the card itself.
The butterflies are a purchase from a recent Hobby show at the NEC in Birmingham and they just added a splash of colour and foil to the card.

Crafting in the Sunshine today

Good afternoon. It's a glorious day here in Coventry and I am busy crafting away with digital images that I have coloured a while ago.
Here are two I have done using Saturated Canary digital images designed by Krista Smith.
Her images are brilliant and I have been a fan for many years now.
This is a nice 8" x 8" square card and finished with a sentient by Inkylicious.

This one is a big A4 sized card and the sentiment is by Penny Black Stamps and quite good for this April shower weather we are having at the moment.

Right I'm off to make some more cards as it's nearly time to restock the local shops and orders need making. Enjoy your Wednesday

Week #180 Anything Goes Challenge on the Glitter n Sparkle Blog

Good Morning and on this lovely first day of spring, we  have the sun shining and the birds tweeting away whilst I'm sat in my work room.

This week is the Anything Goes week over on the Glitter N Sparkle Challenge Blog and this week I was given a Lacy Sunshine Digital Image - called Flower Bed Fred Gnome and he is super cute and very fitting this morning as it's the First day of Spring.
And here he is:
Isn't he cute? Such a fun image to colour too. I used something a bit different for me this time and used Pastel Pencils, I bought these pencils from a local Anime Art Shop and I have to say it's a lovely change to use something else to colour with. They are called Bruynzeel Design Pastel Pencils - 12 in a box.
Great for smudging and they have given a lovely effect with the a shading.
It was screaming out for fun bright colours, so I continued this on with the card colours too.
I decided to try a gatefold card today and the card was precut by Lime Tree Craft and it was just a case of finding the folding points and off we go. The Lemon card stock is also by Limetree Craft and the Citrus green polka dots is by Anna Marie Designs.
I have used a Stampin Up trio of flowers punch and used off cuts to cut them out. I have tied a sage green ribbon to hold the card shut and finished with tiny pearls on the flowers for effect.

Love this Gnome image - great fun to use and Lacy Sunshine are a fabulous Digital stamp company.

If you would like to be in with a chance to win some digital images from any of our sponsors this week then pop over to the Glitter N Sparkle Challenge blog page and find out how to play along and to add your creations.
Lots of Look and Happy Spring to you all.

Glitter N Sparkle Challenge Blog - Week 178 Mother's Day theme

Good Morning and welcome to Mothers Day here in the UK

It is all about our Mum's and the theme is Mother's Day

This weeks sponsor's include Pattie's Creations Digital Stamps which was my assigned designer this week.
Now I am a huge baking fan so when I saw her Cookie Jar Image I just had to select that one
You can click on the link above to take you straight to this great image.
I decided to print it 3 times to great a shelf of Cookie jars for my card design.
And here it is:

I have used Promarkers - Sandstone and cinnamon for the cookies and added pastel blue to the jars to give the appearance of glass.

The matt layer is a piece of kraft card and the backing is from a Kanban Crafts paper pad and then I have added two shades of silver ribbon tied down the left hand side of the card.
I have then hand stamped Happy Mothers Day on to kraft card to tie everything together.

I hope you have been inspired and also enjoying your Mother's Day but if you fancy having a go at the challenge then just follow this link to the Glitter N Sparkle Challenge Blog where you can add your link to your project and be in with chance of winning some fabulous prizes.

Kanban Crafts Antique Botanical Collection Launch on Create & Craft Tv this week

This week saw another fantastic launch from Kanban Crafts which was aired first on Create & Craft USA starting  on Tuesday where we saw Keith Smith (Aka the boss) take the shows by storm with the new kit and all the fabulous samples designed by the Design Team.
I was very lucky to get extra's on this kit as I was developing a lot of Keith's demo's for the shows.

Here are a selection of those cards and projects  that he kindly used on the USA shows.

I tried to showcase all the amazing products on the show by using the Kraft Card Apertures, Topper sheets from the main collection and the Sentiment Pad which everyone was loving.

Foiled Card pack coloured with Promarkers

Then on Thursday the kit was launched to the UK viewers and we saw yet again just how popular this kit as it started to fly out the door by the end of the first show.
Here are some more of my samples and demonstrations that I produced for Keith to use.

This Gift bag has proven very popular on the shows and looks very expensive but with the fantastic prices on the show is actually very in-expensive.

I have made a demonstration to make this little notepad too
This card shows just how to use all the elements and how not to throw anything away as it can all add fantastic definition to your cards.
This is just using one topper sheet and a piece of the plainer backing card.
A simple Square card using the foiled card stock and a red crown as a lovely embellishment.
Now this is a slight;y different design for me and I have used the gorgeous postcards from the up sell promotion and I have added a art effect with ink powders.
Now this is a lovely 8"x8" card which I have used the Gold & yellow foil swirl paper from the main collection, Vellum sheet from the up sell pack, used the inner of an aperture card base and then finished with butterflies from the up sell pack of butterflies which I have coloured with promarkers. The tiny butterflies are cut from the same sheet.

Lace used on the projects was purchased from Truly Inspired Crafts who have a great selection of ribbons & lace.

Denise is joining Keith today with more shows on Create & Craft Tv with the lovely Antique Botanical collection. Be quick though as this mornings show saw lots of items go to limited stock.
